Bird Rock Artist’s Guild “Art in The Garden”, to be held May 12 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at 5571 Bellevue Ave (corner of Forward St. & Bellevue). Bird Rock Resident Leslie Davis has once again offered her garden.
More than 20 artists will have their works for show and sale. Musical guest Aja Lee will perform and there will be refreshments. Among the work featured will be garden art, jewelry, handbags, watercolor prints, mosaics, soaps, photography and sculpture.
The Bird Rock Artist Guild is a collaboration of Bird Rock and area artists, crafters, musicians and supporters. Led by artist Jane Wheeler who’s best known for her “Art Alive” mosaic bench project part of the Bird Rock Community Council beautification efforts.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I wanted to share some of the latest news from Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas as they honor the most important women in our lives!
Mother’s Day Menu
Through May 13, Cinepolis is honoring mothers with pre-set Mother’s Day menus that can be enjoyed as part of a movie outing with the kids or as a much needed ‘Mom’s Night Out’.
For $26, the menu includes balsamic a glazed pear and goat cheese crostini appetizer, veggie burger wrap entree, chocolate covered strawberries for desert and a medium soda or bottled water for the general theaters their choice of a glass of Casa Lapostolle chardonnay or Chandon Rose Sparkling wine in the 21+ theaters.

Industry Night on Mondays
From 4 PM to closing; restaurant, hotel and other members of the hospitality industry will receive specially priced movie tickets for $17.50 each. Simply purchase tickets in-person and inform the concierge desk that you’d like the industry night special.
Wednesday Night Facebook Check-in Special
On Wednesday nights, movie-goers that “check-in” to Cinepolis via Facebook on their mobile phone will be directed to a coupon featuring specially priced movie tickets for just $15.50 each. Show the coupon to the concierge when purchasing your tickets in-person to redeem the discounted price.
